    Responsibilities

    To succeed in this role, you must show an understanding of the emotional and developmental disabilities of the people you serve. When you join our team, you will be enrolled in our training program designed to build the skills and confidence needed to meet your job requirements and build your career with us.

     

    As an Education Support Professional, you will:

    • Assist in the classroom
    • Facilitate learning activities for the students
    • Provide direct care to students requiring assistance in meeting educational, treatment, and hygiene needs
    • Maintain records of student progress
    • Provide support and guidance for the students to achieve their goals
    • Behavior management

    Schedule, Wage, & Benefit Information

    • This is a part-time position that works Monday through Friday from 8:45am until about 3pm during the traditional school year with all major holidays off
    • During our summer session, the hours are reduced so this position will work  Monday through Thursday from approximately 8:45am-1:15pm
    • Occasional Fridays required during summer for inservices and trainings
    • There is an option to pick up in our residential program for those seeking additional hours
    • $14.00/hour with a High School Diploma or equivalent
    • $14.50/hour with an Associate's Degree
    • $15.00/hour with a Bachelor's Degree

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 21 years old
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Human Services, Psychology, Education, or Social Services preferred
    • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
    • Tolerance, understanding, patience, and a calm demeanor required
