  • Overview

    Genesee Lake School is seeking a dynamic and qualified professional to serve as our Learning Coordinator.  We are a private, employee owned residential and year-round day school for students, ages 6-21, who are diagnosed with Neurodevelopmental Disorders and/or Complex Develeopmental Trauma.  Our mission is to dare greatly by transforming the lives of our students, their families, and the employee owners who serve them.


    • Research, evaluate, develop, and identify appropriate curriculum across all classrooms. Review and approve department curriculum purchasing and budget.
    • Attend IEP and Change of Placement Meetings; Review and verify the completion of IEPs and IEP related paperwork by teachers, therapists, and other personnel as required.
    • Review and sign off on quarterly progress reports for students in the classrooms as needed.
    • Assists in new admissions, classroom placement, and individualized educational plans.
    • Collect and analyze academic and behavioral data. Develop data driver instructional practices and identify classroom needs.
    • Collaborates with Agency teams to ensure coordination on approaches across school and residential settings on an as needed basis.
    • Coordinates and collaborates on various projects and tasks with the Director of Education, Education Coordinator, and the Leadership team.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Education Director.


    • Must be at least 21 years old
    • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
    • Certified by the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in special education
    • Experience working with students with varying disabilities in the classroom setting
    • Ability to administer curricular assessments, analyze data, and determine educational plans and outcomes
    • Familiar with potential curriculum resources for a range of developmental/grade levels and abilities
    • Demonstrated knowledge/understanding of IEP development and facilitation
    • Organization and scheduling of self-contained and departmentalized classes
    • Educational leadership experience preferred but not required
